What to test on your Firestick
Wi-Fi at the television
Test with the stick in its usual position behind the TV. If playback stalls, compare channels and check the connection before reinstalling your app. Try Ethernet if your setup supports it.
Remote and app navigation
Check that you can open the channel list, reach favourites and return to the home screen comfortably with your remote. A phone-oriented app may be awkward on a TV.
Picture and sound together
Watch long enough to check audio, channel changes and stability. A 4K-capable Firestick does not make every source 4K; resolution depends on the stream and your setup.
